Chemistry Graduate Student Organization Divisional Scholarship Information
Award
- The Chemistry Graduate Student Organization (CGSO) scholarship is granted based on merit to CGSO members in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
- $500 for the winning candidate per division
- Applicants may reapply in subsequent years
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all members of CGSO who have been active within the academic year. Active members are those who have completed at least four hours of volunteering and attended 3 events (meetings are classified as events) in the last academic year.
- Open to both Doctoral and Master CGSO members
- Only accepted papers from peer-reviewed journals will be considered (in-review or submitted papers will NOT be considered but highly welcome but not a major selection criteria)
Submission Procedure **Only entries (papers, conferences, awards, etc.) from the calendar year of April 2023 to March 2024 will be considered.**
- A completed application includes the digital application along with your updated CV (2 page max)
- Any supplementary (optional) materials, such as recommendation letters, awards, etc. may also be submitted for consideration
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Late Applications will not be considered

The following items are arranged by importance when considering award merit:
- # of first author publications
- Total number of publications
- Journal merit/impact factor
- External Awards/scholarships
- Internal awards/scholarships
- Oral presentations
- Poster presentations
- Reccomendation letters
